Once within sight of land, SeaRoam offers officers and crew the ability to make and receive calls and SMS messages at very affordable prices, wherever they are in the world. They can do so in private away from the bridge, using their normal mobile phones.

The solution available from SeaRoam is prepaid, to help with budgeting, and users are able to purchase credit in multiple denominations from Searoam.com or from one of the many in-port welfare offices and credit their account via the phone menu. This service has a very positive effect on on-board morale as seamen can sometime be waiting outside port for up to four days, but within range of GSM technology.
