MaxRoam Prepaid SIM Card
Cubic Telecom markets our own global Prepaid SIM card under the MAXroam brand via a powerful on-line Web Store. Simply by inserting the MAXroam SIM card in any standard GSM or 3G mobile phone, or in a 3G Data Modem, large savings can be achieved on roaming charges.
The MAXroam service provides standard mobile call features at low rates, and consumers simply dial, text or answer as normal. They can recharge their accounts online, or may prefer to set up automatic online recharge amounts from a credit card account once credit levels have fallen below a pre-defined threshold.
In addition to standardised recharges based on value, customised Voice, SMS and Data Bundles can be added to accounts which are tailored to particular global continental zones. Operating under agreements with more than 610 mobile networks in over 226 countries, MAXroam enables low cost voice and data connections in more countries than any other mobile operator.
Cubic Telecom is a leader in the deployment of the new MicroSIM or Form Factor 3 SIM Card standard, which has been adopted by Apple for its new iPad and latest generation of iPhones.
Least Cost Roaming
The Cubic Telecom solution combines multiple network identities (known as the International Mobile Subscriber Identity or IMSI) on one SIM card, to combine competitive global roaming with competitive national services. Also, multiple numbers can be configured with one SIM card to facilitate friends and colleagues who can always call at local rates.
Cubic Telecom has developed unique embedded SIM and core network applications to support the intelligent automatic management of multiple IMSIs and numbers, depending on the location of the user. This intelligent architecture accommodates both modern standard networks and older networks, by masking the underlying transport and connection mechanisms from the user.
In the example illustrated below, a German businessman travels frequently between Germany and Spain. He also travels on business and leisure trips to other destinations occasionally. While he is in Germany, the local (DE) IMSI on the MAXroam SIM ensures he is treated as a local customer of one of the German mobile network operators.
Equally, while he is in Spain, the local (ES) IMSI ensures he is treated as a local customer of one of the Spanish mobile network operators. Whenever he travels to any other destination, the global IMSI ensures he benefits from low-cost mobile roaming charges. Only one of the IMSIs is active at any point in time, and this is triggered and controlled automatically by the Cubic Telecom system.
White Label Platform
In addition to direct sales via the MAXroam Web Store, Cubic Telecom markets a White Label platform which provides MVNE (Mobile Virtual Network Enabler) services to global companies, enabling them to deliver professional mobile services to their customers in all markets.
The White Label platform includes sophisticated APIs that enable a global company to deliver a branded mobile service - without the need for investment in telecoms infrastructure, processes or skills. The White Label service encompasses a fully supported, fully hosted, custom-branded website and branded SIM card, supported by business processes implemented and operated by Cubic Telecom.
Wholesale Service to MNOs and MVNOs
Cubic Telecom provides White Label and Wholesale services to established mobile network operators (MNOs) and mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs), enabling quick deployment of global roaming services, including sales, dispatch, billing, network element provisioning and administration.
This is particularly useful where the MNO or MVNO does not have an extensive roaming network, or does not support a particular technology standard. It also enables the MNO or MVNO to capture an increased share of inbound roaming traffic.
Enterprise Solutions
Cubic Telecom offers an Enterprise solution to large corporations and multi-nationals which employ a lot of executives who travel on business. With our simple to manage backend system, enterprise customers can allocate credit to individual employees and reduce the impact of mobile roaming as a cost of doing business overseas.
A key feature of this service is the establishment of Pooled Accounts so that managers and executives can share a cost-effective common roaming resource, spanning Voice, SMS and Data.
Machine-to-Machine
In addition to Person-to-Person solutions, Cubic Telecom has developed a Data platform to support continent-wide large-scale machine-to-machine applications. Networked "embedded intelligence" is what pervasive computing and M2M are all about. The information coming from a device can be just as valuable, if not more valuable, than the device itself.
For example, information is available such as current location, part number, where it was purchased, when it was installed and by whom, critical specifications, diagnostics, availability of spares, replacement alternatives, repair instructions and usage patterns.
All this invisible machine activity makes the information about assets, costs, and liabilities vastly more visible to managers - and vastly more useful to the decision-making process. The Cubic Telecom platform enables partners to deliver cost-effective solutions across multiple national and continental boundaries.
