Cubic Telecom secures TISAX certification

TISAX certification marks Cubic’s compliance with the strict information security requirements of the automotive industry.

Global connected software provider Cubic Telecom has successfully obtained it’s TISAX certificate (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange)*. TISAX is an assessment and exchange mechanism established by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) to identify trusted parties in the industry.

TISAX was developed by the VDA to simplify the process of data exchange between manufacturers and suppliers in the automotive industry. Previously, information was exchanged through catalogues, which is costly and time consuming. Now multiple checks of a single supplier can be avoided. As automotive technologies continuously evolve, the certificate enables a global industry standard that manufacturers and suppliers must adhere to.

Industry security standard certification is an important part of our security roadmap. It provides our customers with an assurance of our security operations and data protection posture. It also enables us to benchmark ourselves frequently and accurately, meaning we can focus on continually improving our framework.”

— Chris Patterson, Cubic Telecom’s Information Security Manager

TISAX also creates a level of credence amongst those operating in the industry and is a major feature in gaining customer trust. Cubic has successfully obtained two TISAX labels – data protection according to EU-GDPR Article 28 and information with high protection needs. Operating its automotive solution in 93 markets across 180 countries, Cubic prides itself on meeting all necessary regulatory requirements. The TISAX certificate is an additional layer on top of Cubic’s already highly compliant framework.
